Innovation: Rosehip was founded on one primary principle. that technology, specifically the Internet and mobile communications, has fundamentally changed the way people conduct business, and those changes have drastically altered the economics of the real estate business. Home buyers or renters do not start their searches in the yellow pages or by walking into an agency; in fact 90% of the time they start on the Internet.* Agents don't need to sit in an office to be productive or available to their clients as long as they are reachable on their mobile phone or via email. Fundamentally mobile telecom and the Internet are tools to enable and accelerate the free flow of information. In contrast, the legacy real estate business model, which Rosehip rejects, is based on exclusivity and on an information controlling mindset. Rosehip embraces the open flow of information between all parties to the transaction and has tailored their business model to facilitate that flow to the benefit of their clients, customers and agents.
Execution: Rosehip seeks agents that will put deals together and compensates them for doing just that. While the other firms pay agents on the basis of the dollar volume they produce, we compensate our agents on a curve based upon the number of transactions they close, big or small. Why is this important? It's simple. Our goal is to attract agents who work hard, share information and seek to put deals together, not control information in hopes of hoarding a giant commission for themselves. At Rosehip its better to earn a little bit a lot of times than holding out to earn it all. better for our agents and better for our clients and customers.
Reward: Central to our philosophy regarding innovation and execution is the manner in which we reward our agents. We're not spending large amounts of our budget on multiple main street storefronts. We'd rather return that money to our agents in the form of significantly better commission splits than the competition. We believe this empowers our agents to be better. As a buyer or a seller involved in a tight negotiation which agent would you want working for you, the more flexible Rosehip agent empowered to give and take with his commission dollars or a standard agent with no discretionary dollars to put into play toward closing a deal? Innovation drives execution which in turn delivers reward for agents, for sellers and for buyers and for Rosehip Partners.
* According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR) over 85% of buyers START their real estate search on the Internet.
